Connect Fieldy to Kept
Keep recording with Fieldy hardware and the Fieldy app, then sync supported Fieldy conversations into Kept through Fieldy's official Public API.
Kept's connection flow and Fieldy's official API and audio-retention documentation were checked on October 7, 2026.
How to connect
- In Fieldy, open Settings → Developer Settings and create or copy your API key.
- In Kept, open Integrations and select Connect Fieldy.
- Submit the key through Kept's protected form. Kept stores it encrypted and does not return it to the browser after submission.
- Choose an initial backfill of 30, 90, or 365 days. Kept then checks for new conversations incrementally.
- Review the Import Queue and confirm the transcript, source date, and Fieldy provenance on a sample conversation.
Kept intentionally paces Fieldy requests below 30 per minute, a conservative rate beneath Fieldy's current published limit of 100 requests per 60 seconds. It honors rate-limit retry guidance and backs off on transient service errors. Sync status, last sync, Sync now, and disconnect are available in the Integrations Hub. Disconnecting stops future sync; already imported transcripts retain their Fieldy provenance.
What transfers
Kept imports transcript text and supported conversation details returned by the API, including available external IDs, source timestamps, summaries, tasks, speaker profiles, keywords, location, and other mapped metadata. Imported text can flow into Kept search, Ask Kept, and other supported organization and timeline features. The exact fields depend on what Fieldy returns for each conversation.
Fieldy imports are transcript-only
Fieldy states that raw audio is deleted after transcription. Kept therefore does not import or claim to preserve original Fieldy audio. Each imported record is labeled as Fieldy transcript evidence, and Play Source is not shown when audio is unavailable. A transcript cannot establish tone or resolve every transcription ambiguity; check important details against the available source text.
Manual export fallback
If you prefer not to connect an account, Kept can import Fieldy export files in text, PDF, JSON, or Markdown formats, up to 8 MB. JSON and Markdown usually preserve more structure. Text-based PDFs need extractable text; verify a sample before relying on an export's dates, IDs, or speaker details.
Fieldy capture remains on its own device and app. Kept uses account data or a supported file import; it does not pair directly with Fieldy hardware over Bluetooth.
